House Portraits

My latest project House Portraits is a collaboration with Professor Mary Corcoran (Dept Sociology NUI Maynooth), An Cosán and Mount Seskin Community College Tallaght. I am making a series of paintings of the homes of 10 residents in the Jobstown area of West Tallaght. Mary Corcoran has been interviewing the participants and their families about their sense of home. On the conclusion of the project each participant gets to own the portrait of their home. They will also receive a book documenting the entire project. The completed works will form an exhibition, which will take open in RUA RED in March 2015 and then tour.
